As a group pimpmydorm.com has decided that we will like to do the book "being your own boss" by Dr. Sandra Liu.  This post is a few days late but we wanted to be sure we had a book that we all agreed upon, and thought would be the most beneficial to us.  I had to use this book for another class and have read it, and it is one of the most helpful books that you can use when is comes to starting a company i have found.

Does the explanation of industry characteristcs provide you with a clear picture of the online auction website idustry which PimpMyDorm.com plans to enter?

Are there any significant consistancy errors other than formating discrepencies?

Do you agree that word of mouth would be one of our best methods of reaching out to customers?

Should we focus on marketing to high school seniors? How are we going to do that? What marketing tactics would you suggest considering we have students from all over the world? Should we try to market to dorm residence and apartment residences at the same time? Are there any other marketing mediums you would suggestion other than the exponent newspaper and website, flyers, dorms, and certain apartments?

I researched many entrepreneurship books and found that "Marketing and Management for New Ventures" was the most readable and easier to understand. The awesome fact about this book is that many topics which I read in the book, including the financial statements and ratio analysis sections describe the concept by depicting its real world application rather than just an abstract explaination of the concept.
